Anna Wintour: Fashion's Iron Lady and NYC's Ice Queen

The skirt maketh the lady.

Now those are BOOTS to die for!

Anna Wintour on Fashion Bloggers

‘We love as much coverage of fashion as possible. We don’t care at all where it comes from, and we embrace bloggers and video and social networking, and anyone that’s talking about fashion is a good thing.’

The iconic bob and signature glasses that made NYC's Ice Queen. Love her or hate her- she defines what the industry is now.

30 seconds to meltdown...all brace for Nuclear Wintour: Where the hell is the town car?

  1. Have you watched "The September Issue?" This documentary film about Anna proved she is the ultimate Ice Queen. But her coldness can be backed by the sheer talent that she has. I mean, come on, as you mentioned in this blog – "she defines what the industry is now", and where indeed would the fashion industry be without her? If fashion was personified, it would definitely be her.

  2. "I haven't watched the September issue yet, but I have watched the Devil Wears Prada. For those of you who didn't know, the Devil Wears Prada is a movie based from a novel written by Lauren Weisberger -- a former staff of Ms. Wintour.
I really liked the movie since it was a good story, but I definitely didn’t like the way they portrayed Ms. Wintour as an overbearing, cold hearted and downright nasty person. I don't believe Anna is anything like that in real life. All the criticism directed towards her is misdirected. She is just simply too busy and too intelligent to bear with things that will waste her time."

  3. I always believed that the true artists are kinda eccentric and snobbish. I had a friend once and she was a painter. She technically snubbed the whole world when she was in one of her moods. She's nice enough when she's not painting, but when she gets into an artistic fit - its like i'm with a totally different person. Artists view life differently from normal human beings, and their attitude and eccentric behavior is just a part of how frustrated they can get when others cannot understand or see what they can. I believe that Anna is a true artist, people often misunderstand her behavior as a snob, but in reality, she just sees things differently.
